A "Personal Touch" in South Luangwa National Park

Variety is the Spice of Spa
For many people, when they consider indulging in a spa
treatment the first that comes to mind is a traditional massage. While massages
are the No. 1 Spa treatment for a variety of reasons (they feel wonderful and
impart some undeniable health benefits) there are also a number of therapies
available on the Bush-Spa “menu” that you should definitely try in order to take
full advantage of the whole Bush-Spa experience. Game viewing can even continue
whilst having a warm Jacuzzi bath or a Zambian foot reflexology massage!
Touching massages;
A range of high quality massages are available to choose
from. Some are traditional favorites, whilst others are original fusions of
them. Even Signature therapies are available, designed and adapted for use in
the bush area of South Luangwa. The Bush-Spa has many therapies to choose from;
traditional Swedish therapy, Deep Tissue, Holistic variations, Herbal oils, to
Hot Stone and even Thai Yoga massages are on offer at the Bush-Spa.
Foot work;
All our therapies are complemented by our Herbal Flower Foot bath, however our
therapist can focus a bit more on your feet and ease those air-plane ankles or
tight muscles after your walking safaris, while you continue your game viewing.
Have a relaxing seat and enjoy the view, while we take care of your feet.
Bush style body works with a touch
of Africa;
Africa has an abundance of therapeutic plant
life and at the Bush-Spa, we are embracing this ancient, traditional therapeutic
heritage. Products that contain blends of indigenous plants including: Kalahari
Melon, Marula Oil, Baobab Oil, Honey Bush Tea, Green Rooi Bush tea, Buchu,
African Ginger, Mongongo Nut, Cape Aloe and Sunflower oil are but a few of the
wonderful therapeutic ingredients that the African continent has on offer.
In celebration of the African culture, the Bush-Spa constantly creates and
up-dates unique signature treatments offered in our “Big Five” packages.
Please make sure to ask the Bush-Spa team about the current treatments available
as many are seasonable of nature and therefore subject to availability.
A range of various body wraps and scrubs are offered using traditional ingredients and techniques. Variations are on offer using different aromatic oils and scrub materials, depending on the season. Ensure to take some time to go over the Spa menu to select the treatment of your choice….
Ozonator
Hydrotherapy;
The health benefits of hydrotherapy (using the
“ozonator” purification technique), as has been proven internationally over
decades are unsurpassed. Hydrotherapy
accelerates the healing of injured or hard exercised muscle tissue. Lymphatic
fluid reaches the cells more quickly and the removal of waste products and
toxins is accelerated.

There is another side to the Bush-Spa hydrotherapy which cannot be evaluated scientifically and that concerns the effect on the mind. The unique Bush-Spa Jacuzzi overlooking the magnificent lagoon is offering you a truly wild experience. Fourteen micro-jets of Eastern Shiatsu massage your body, while you also obtain a continuous foot massage and volcano jet deep massages thighs and calves. With all these options in your own private Jacuzzi (max 2 people) and the complementary stunning views just add to the amazingly relaxing experience, which is a “must do” whilst visiting the Bush-Spa!
Capturing the healing essences of
Africa;
At our intimate counter, we will offer a small but exclusive selection of home
care products. Your Zambian Bush-Spa experience can be taken home too. Besides
our holistic line of Personal Touch oils and locally made natural skin
care, The Bush-Spa will feature the
exclusive line of Africology skin care products, which have been
developed to revitalize the skin.
Africology makes use of the healing essences of some of Africa’s indigenous plants and their focus is on capturing the intelligence of nature in the restorative process. Knowing that the essence of nature can synergistically interact with your energy system forms the basis of our line of products used and sold in the Bush-Spa….
These treatments are just a taste of what the Bush-Spa has to offer you – be sure to read the whole spa menu and ask the manager questions before you choose your treatments. Combinations are highly recommended and ensure to create a spa experience that lasts much longer than the pleasure of a massage.
Opening hours, Reservations,
Transport and Payment;

Medical Consultation
Before commencing massage or body therapy on any client, it is necessary to
ascertain their state of health. The medical consultation allows us to
obtain the most accurate information. The therapist assesses the client as a
whole and judges psychological, physical and physiological states presented by
any signs and symptoms. Manual massage has few contra-indications, but may need
to be adapted to suit the client’s physical condition. By undertaking the
consultation, the client confirms the information provided is complete and
accurate. The client also confirms undertaking the treatment on his/her own risk
and accepts that the Bush-Spa by The Personal Touch Ltd., its directors, or any persons
working for this company cannot be held responsible for any, injury, death,
loss, theft or damage to the client or their personal belongings. If the
therapist has any apprehension over the client's health, a reference to either a
local doctor or the client's own GP will be made.
