Award-Winning Bush-Spa | Lodge Retreats | Wellness Hideout | Ukuchina Boma

Our intimate, African Retreat at Islands of Siankaba offers a selection of stress relieving, pampering treatments ranging from sunset facials to full body massages and body works.
The Ukuchina Boma has been conceptualized and implemented by Islands of
Siankaba’s management team. They wished for their International Guests the
possibility to experience some of Zambia’s rich heritage in traditional healing
whilst still offering a range of conventional and professional techniques.
After some time, they noticed the extreme popularity of their Boma and in this a
partnership with The Personal Touch was build. The affiliation with our highly
experienced company with Spa’s and other wellness center's through Zambia and
Malawi, Islands of Siankaba ensured more wellness therapies using local
ingredients in a sustainable way and high quality professional treatments for
their guests.

Described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800’s as
‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ - ‘the Smoke that Thunders’ and in more modern terms as ‘the
greatest known curtain of falling water’, Victoria Falls are a spectacular sight
of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, bordering Zambia and
Zimbabwe.
The Islands of Siankaba Lodge is the most classic of forested retreats.
Siankaba's seven secluded chalets, each with its unique and individually
different view of the mighty Zambezi River, are linked by a foot bridge to a
haute cuisine restaurant. All of this is located on two untouched islands in the
middle of the mighty Zambezi River situated between the 'Seventh Wonder of the
Natural World', the magnificent Victoria Falls, and the world famous Chobe
National Park in Botswana.
The Islands of Siankaba have been developed as a luxurious five star lodge,
exclusively sleeping just fourteen guests. The two islands are linked by a
suspension bridge leading to an overhead walkway in the tree canopy which
connects the elevated chalets.
Whether looking for a relaxing post safari retreat or in search of one of the
many adrenalin buzz adventures available in the area, guests needs will be
surpassed by the lodge’s uncompromising levels of service and hospitality.

As found in any of our Spa's or Retreats we offer at Islands of Siankaba very unique signature treatments using indigenous plant ingredients. Massage techniques and Body works from all over the world are combined with ancient African holistic practices to create a truly unique Zambian experience. With an abundance of exotic scents and herbs with well-reputed healing properties, Africa provides the ultimate sensory load for natural beauty as well as complete relaxation and rejuvenation. For centuries, body therapy treatments have been embraced for their revitalizing and therapeutic effects and that is exactly what we aim for at the river front of the Zambezi.
Vailet Palanga, our qualified therapist and manageress will offer you a chance to experience some pampering traditional Zambian treatments in combination with some more conventional facials, massages and bodyworks. We make use of the healing essence of some of Africa’s indigenous plants and focus on capturing these special properties for a therapeutic experience on the body and face. And all is done with that special “personal touch”!

At the Islands of Siankaba Boma, we are also featuring an intimate little gift
shop. Anything from our signature range of
100% Natural Products, little
African souvenirs and jewelry, to the collection of
Tribal Textiles.
Located in the heart of the African bush, Tribal Textiles generates employment
and self-sufficiency in the community. Their team of local artists creates
beautifully hand painted textiles including bed and table linen, wall hangings
as well has bags and other accessories.
The perfect gifts to take home.......
